Phew.... Absolutely amazing... no doubt. However I agree even though I dont want to... Im not sure if a young boy can understand the gravity (lol) of the situation if things go pear shaped... I would hate to see anyone get injured especially Rhys... but I imagine his dad would have some sort of fail safe just incase? Does anyone know?

 

Watching the video i could not see any fail safe's, like i said very kewl for only 5, but i do worry about the kids safety when i see things like this. We all know how quick things can happen !

 

I gotta admit, i never really thought about it that way, but shiz.. things can happen really quick, i agree he should be at least buddy box, just for safety..

 

I dont know, Im sure the Dad must have thought of everything. I think its amazing!... I wish my dad made me fly at his age...lol.

 

Ive seen this little guy fly plenty. He flys safer & high than anyone else I have met. I think it's easy to underestimate the motor skills of someone that can fly like he does.

 

He is actually quite aware of whats goin on he also flys alot higher and further away than most.

The other issue with the buddy box is that Rhys is a more advanced pilot than Murry and Muzz probably wouldnt be able to save it

This is a hard one, Would he freak out if a spider crawled on him? Or would he be easily distracted or frightened? that would be my only concern.

 

Ive flown with him multiple times in the past couple of months including 3dx.

Murry Angela and Rhys have an open invitation at my field and are very nice people.

I'll gladly spott for him any time

haha.. just have a teenager flying and walk a cute girl on up.. you'll get the same result...

 

I liked the flight, looked cool and as safe as any as I have seen, maybe the buddy box rule should be for low hour pilots. I'd feel safer watching this than a flight with a n00b with his brand new Trex 700 and half an hour of flight sim training. Why make it age based?

I tried to impress the chicks with my flying, but it doesnt work. They don't care. I suppose if you made $100 per piroflip it would be a whole new ballgame!

 

Don't let anyone fool you, being able to piroflip turns you into a chick magnet
