I buy it, it's being towed by a car. Check out a fuller version, he pins off and glides down and lands

Right, but still implies being towed or line anchored like a kite in a strong prevailing wind.

True @Beaver. Its not a hang glider as i first thought.

It is being towed, as hang gliders and paragliders are towed by cars, you you can see him pin off and glide. you could probably thermal it as well in stonking conditions, but you would probably meet your God(s)

There are tons of them. Just Type "home made helicopter" in Youtube search.

      This one works:

I have found heli model with PAPER blades:

Autogyro is different story. I watched one at our field. It was small, foam RC model with foam blades. It flew pretty well but no flips&roll. Watching blades rotating without motor is fun. It had just propeller in the front power by small electric motor.

The chain drive tail rotor is more than a bit dodgy. The whole contraption looks as if it was built using a child's swingset.

Well, it was a defected Russian-American that perfected the first production helicopter. Those Russians have always had a unique way with helis (some of which still remind me of a "flying water bottle"). That contraption would have Igor Sikorsky rolling in his grave if he knew.
