If they keep HF the same it should be good, I find the HF is civilised.

 

I can't say I've spent much time in HF. I have spent considerable time in RCG, but in either case, I only go to those forums when I'm looking for specific information. When I found HeliGods, I lost interest in the others. This forum is informative and entertaining in more interesting ways for me.

 

Will be interesting to see if they run with the same frame work (vbullitin). I think they might keep it the same and use it to boost their seo and select marketing perhaps. With introduction of facebook, forums have been devalued alot, but it wont be long before there is some other software to challenge facebook.. And also there are forever new ways to integrate into the social media platform. The only thing i can think is the forum might loose a bit of its character. Only time will tell but there is heaps of good information on there.

 

Ive badically stopped contributing to the other aussie forum but still active on HF was my first heli forum I joined in 07 - brand spankin new raptor titan !!!

Aye... especially RGG..... they are ridiculously diverse were information is concerned. I can find info on anything from a $5 coaxial to a $5000 smak-monster... and beyond.

 

I hope Will James and moderators will learn their lesson. Censorship, banning for no reason, removing threads about issues with sponsors models is not the way to go.

They were arrogant and cared more for sponsors money than users.

I hope Heligods is not on this path... I am not 100% sure. Sponsors are impudent too often.

And what threads and sponsor models issues did they remove?

I stated that HF is NOT "the best forum on the planet". I wrote I do not care if he give me ban. It was him for sure.

I really do not till Today.

One more thing... after this thread "HF Best forum on the planet" was removed by admin.

 

To clarify... thread was removed from Helifreak.

 

I think with HF they will be moving their vbulletin forum onto their servers. Hence the delay. Its probably a pretty big database and knowing a little about forum software, it will take a bit to get going again (re-versions, plugins, customisations)

I think its all cool @Beaver. Helifreak is a good forum, most people here visit HF as well. It has years of information on it and has a big following. Will be interesting to see how it runs in the future. I think what HGs was trying to say was they support other forums as well. Everyone brings something different to the table..

 

Yes, I agree. There can never be too many resources.
