Ok after seing @5fidys logo 600 heli fly on the weekend, with a modestly powered motor I am convinced that the lighter the Helicopter the better. It pops better, there is less stress on the packs and it can transition faster. I am sold on the fact that the lighter a helicopter is much better! Of course design is also important but less weight has many advantages... Thoughts?

      Welcome to the Mikado philosophy!
Lighter weight means less momentum & easier direction changes. Given that force = mass x acceleration the lower the mass force required for the same acceleration.
Even helps in a crash as it won't hit as hard i.e. less force.
That's also why my Logo 600SX still runs 10S & not 12, too much weight.
An experiment on a Logo 400 shows that a 2600ma 6S pack far outperforms the same heli on a 3700ma pack.

Not frothing.... GREEN and frothing!... I remember being offered the heli and while procrastinating Evil @5Fidy swooped in and made my decision for me. I swear, as that heli was moving through the air it was taunting me saying - see you should have brought me! - I had a girlfriend like that once.... Dam it, I should have gone for it on both accounts...

Oh, poor smacker. Those of us with Logos feel sorry for you......honest we do.
Do you want one? Might be time to hitch up the skirt & get out on the street corner to earn some coin!

I definitely agree with the lighter philosophy, i have tried this experiment by stripping down all the heavy structural components on my old N5C and can confirm as well as @simon that it would be the fastest 50 size bitor on the block. In terms of momentum drop during fast flowing transitions, there is some minor loss but it can be made up through accurate collective management manouvers.

That thing totally rocks, 4 flights today and another 5 tomorrow, if I could teach it to cook, my missus would be outta there

I disagree.... If the main battery falls out during flight, Its nearly a kilo lighter but from what i've seen it doesn't fly to well , even autos are sloppy ! I guess Crash God could send a lightning bolt and take it to hell because that's where the battery ends up. POOF

Well I have to say I have seen Ray fly his Trex 5Fidy and the battery Flew out
during a tic to maneuver. The funniest thing was he was trying to control it
To a safe landing to no avail it didn't have a back up battery now that was FUNNY.
