What are the BEST battery connectors to use for your rc helicopter. I like and use EC5 on everything from a 450 to a goblin 700. I find standardizing is great because you always know what charging plug to use etc. But I want to ask. Is there better than EC5 as an all-round connector? They hold secure, handle heaps of current and are easy to assemble.

I like the EC5's too but i recently got a Castle ESC with some XT150's on it and bought some from hobbyking and put them on my Gaui X7 and batts and must say I love them more than the EC5's now...

No harness needed for 12S... one + and - from each 6 cell join together and then the other + and - go straight to the esc - much neater and easy to disconnect.

Yes!! Smh, there is something better than fiddling
Around soldering connectors like they did in the
Olden days... Anderson connectors are crimped
And are quick to get going once you get the hang of
It. 45a connectors have been tested to 200a no issues
Also they self clean when you plug em together.
Also they are gender less so a 12s setup only need
      3 connection

I like all of those but since way back I started with the Dean's so I'm stuck with them. Too many lipos to resolder and too many paraboards to replace. Dean's regular for the bigger boys, Dean's mini for the 250's and Dean's micro for the micros. They are definitely old school but so far working.Thing is my local friends sometimes can't stop ribbing me about it. They even blame them when I crash or hit lvc.
IMO the EC class is the best just can't find the will to jump ship.

I use Deans on most of my small stuff, 450s and 500s, I used EC5s on my X5, it has a bigger 6S pack, they came on the Glacier batteries so I figured why not give it a go!

I had EC5s on my logo's Jive, but my older packs were two 5S in series, they both had deans, literally thousands of flights, same on my 600CF 2X deans to a single EC5 on the connector.

I got a pair of TP 4400 10S stick packs for the logo, so I used a single EC5 for them.

I am on the hunt for a 700 build, I will likely use 2X EC5s on that machine...

Oh yeah just built a 250 and I used EC2s, what a pain to solder those tiny little things!
