    So what are some unusual phrases or slang in the RC Helicopter world. I could never understand the logic behind the name of the part - feather shaft. I know aircraft feather their flaps but that's a quite different compared to the function of the feather shaft... I think. So how about it, what are some strange names...

      It's at the top of the helicopter.. Like our heads are at the top of our bodies... So being at the top they call it the head.

      Some useless info just for the hell of it..

      The swashplate was originally proposed by Russian Boris Yuryev in 1911.

      Told ya it was useless info.. Lol

      Well... For two reasons.. One if it snaps and the head flys off.. And the blades fly by your head missing you by mm's.. One might say "jesus" that was close..

      Or if the blades hit you in the head.. You get to meet jesus... Lol

      I say a very very rude word (rhymes with blunt) when I give it a dirt nap, and I'm a n00b.

      At our club we have a nice simple phrase we yell out - "Lower!!!!"

      This is to either;

      A) Entice someone already closer to the ground than normally comfortable with to go closer...or
      B) To chastise someone already lower than ground level to go "lower" - lol

      As it turns out, you don't need your jesus bolt in a trex 500 laying down smack :)
