to be honest i have only hit the dirt twice. since i cant just jump online and order spares, im flying a little more girly. but other than chipped blades i have not done any damage yet.
Jeahong managed a harder hit and destroyed the blades, but also no other j
damage to the heli. So not sure what parts will go the most yet. im guessing the skids.

Dear @Glen... Can I suggest you make it more fragile? What fun am i going to have if someone crashes your helicopter and all they break are a set of skids and blades? Its been my tradition to make an impact and after hearing this, I feel that you are trying to undermine my cause.

LOL, no issues with lipo stowage. This prototype has the rear entry slider tray setup. But Jaehong chucked on some boom supports to test. He has been testing with and without them for a while, if you look close you can see he is just using an extra boom clamp to bolt the supports onto... So there was no way to slide the tray out to change lipos, this no doubt made it a pain to strap the lipo down properly. I plan on having 1 tray per lipo and permanently taping them on instead of using straps. (I have modeled up a proper setup that allows the lipo to slide in and out if they decide to run this way with the design..)

Let me know if you need someone to test it on the other side of the globe:D You know the revers Coriolis effect might need addressing? ;)

Yes I think @William is right! If I also get a test unit @William and I can we co-ordinate our findings to make a fair and unbiased comparison.

Belt in my opinion is better as the power set up will be crazy

belt IMHO is better on a 450, touch the tail and your replacing al those gears...Not so on a belt drive

Fully agree... not much point doing autos on a 450 anyway and anyone who owns a mini protos can vouch for the huge power that a belt drive can handle...Belt all the way IMO!

Not necessarily my gaui x3 torque drive gears have been bulletproof I have put it in around 10 times I am yet to break or strip any one gear in the Drive train I have broken booms skids blades but still yet to damage any gears... Compared to align 450s I have in the past a tiny touch of the tail and there goes a set of tail gears, I gave away 450s for a year because of the crappy align gear system. Chalk and cheese in my opinion... Must come down to design of gear systems.. I must admit the gaui plastics are very very strong.
