Question? Pre-flight During Flight Adrenalin/nerves. Who Gets It?

Well I have to admit, even though i have been flying for quite a few years now I still get nerves most time i fly. Not usually on take off but rather while flying, when i try something really fast/tricky and manage to make it work... my body asks my head - did you really just do that? Really? and my brain responds "yep i did" then i feel nervous but still fly. Funny thing is I like that feeling. Who else gets these weird feelings and stuff when you fly?

If your not feeling the rush then it's boring. I still get the twitch

I actually enjoy that feeling. When I get to the point where I am no longer getting that nervous rush, I know that I need to start pushing a little harder and a litter further with my flying. :)

Yep. I get that. Mostly If I haven't been flying much, Which is usuall. If I've been flying consitantly the nerves go away which is awesome because I tend to slapp the heli's around hard straight away.

If it's not nerves it's a "pucker moment", usually building from part way through a new manoeuvre & peaking at the end of it. Running through a combination of new moves in amongst the old ones is like a roller coaster ride.
Good fun when it all works & a train smash if it doesn't......

When my nerves/adrenalin start to dissipate, its a worry for me. Because i start to really get loose and before you know it I end up in an unfarmiliar place. For example, the other day I was doing piro tick tocks - clockwise well and controlled, but anti clockwise not so great. Then I decided to go skids in and once again it was ok except they were a bit looser. So here i am, looking at the wonder of it all - practicing piro tick tocks from different orientations, no wobbly legs then suddenly - "WHAM" I kick my piro tick Tock off head down instead of tail down. This completely reverses the maneuver and suddenly i had @Crash Heligod sitting on my shoulder. The Heli rocketed straight down to earth pirouetting and my mind was messed up more than usual for a second. I managed to pull out of it but realized at that point.... if i had my usual butterflies i would not have put myself in that situation..

I get the shakes sometimes if I haven't flown in a long while. My knees start to knock and my hands shake as well.

In some ways I feel jealous of newbies because of the thrill they will experience with every new trick learnt...

is a good feeling that's for sure .best advice I got ... step outside your comfort zone. .even better when you fly all packs and take the helis home in one piece. instead of a body bag
