I have known Matt and Amy for several years, and I really love their helicopters. This new 766 is no different. Matt really hit a home run with this one. The mechanics are everything you would expect from Synergy, and the fully serviceable swash plate, is brilliant. The canopy, however, I`m not feeling. The three piece canopy looks a little cheap , and not very appealing to me. But sometimes photos can do some injustice, so I will hold any final judgements until I see one in person. I do like the color scheme on it though, and tail boom cover is kinda cool.... a little goblinish, but cool. All in all it looks like a solid machine, and I can`t wait to see one fly.

Are you going to the IRCHA Jamboree Geena? If you are then maybe you can be our eyes and ears on the ground and maybe even get some sneaky pics or vids!

Unfortunately, no. I will not be going to IRCHA. :( My IRCHA funds were re-purposed about a month ago, when my old Nissan truck died. So I had to buy another vehicle instead of going to IRCHA this year. I`ll get to see Matt and Amy at OHB though. I know that is a way off, but I know I`ll be able to get my hands on a 766 then.

Oh no what a bummer! Still you can thank old faithfull for operating long enough so you could attend IRCHA in the previous years.... I would love to see you flying a 766!

Yes it was a good old truck , and it go me to and from countless helicopter events. I really do miss the little guy. Not sure if Nigel would want to see me flying a 766...LOL But if he said it was ok, I would definitely take one for a test flight. :)

Like @smakmeharder said, 'what a bummer'. There is always next year I guess ;)

My wife has been onto me for a trip to the good ol' US of A for a while now, maybe I'll have to try and coincide it with OHB and come and check the 766 out in the flesh with you Geena. Hopefully though it will be released well before then and we'll get to check them out over here.

Here is a flight with this new beast, I dont know if you have seen this allready:

The design and flight characteristics really catched me! That thing is soo sexy! At the end the guy who holds the cam asks: "Are you really sure thats 1950??". And that face of the pilot says: "Yes it iiiiis!". LOL

      Enjoy

I wonder what pitch they are running with 1950. The heli is moving very fast for sub 2000 rpm.

Its crazy for such a big model isnt it? :) Do you think there is much more headroom for rpm on this one?

In the video it's a 4525 - 520 ultimate so Matt is running 12s, so pretty darn impressive

2300 for sure and at 14s (if you're a sick fracker - looks good enough for everyone at 1950 to me)

The manual is out. While it does look impressive, and will no doubt be good Synergy quality, I really can't see anything too exciting engineering wise - reminds me of my first Trex... Pretty standard pod'n'boom-torque-tube-single-stage heli

Nothing new, but surely a possible contender for fleet addition among the new heli's coming out

I think I'll pick one up.. I like the thrusted main bearings.. The swash is fully serviceable... The ability to change the ball links for f3c or 3d.. 3 different tail ratios.. He got rid of that Teflon for the tail boom... Multi damper options for the head... And he implemented the n7 front canopy mounts and a battery tray that can have different mounting spots for the cg.. And looks like all thrusted bearings have a spot were you can grease without taking the heli apart..

Is nothing earth shattering different... But it looks beefy as
