Quest For 450... It's Here! :-)

    Okay. Does anyone here have any experience with the Assault 450/ Orange T6 combo currently offered by HK? I'm assuming no since there are no posts in this area. (Disclaimer: I don't have $1000 or $2000 laying around to be able to buy a "high-end" name-brand heli, so don't start in on me about clones. I know what's at stake. I don't intend to try to fly 3d with it right off, and certainly not until some upgrades to Align parts are done.)

      Yes, but probably not long before. The thing has been "in transit" for 3 days now. With the holiday postage rush in full swing, there's no telling how long it will take to get through Customs. I will breath a sigh of relief when the package shows up in the USPS tracking system.... then it will only be a couple of days away.
      I went by the LHS to see what relevant Align 450 parts they had. I walked out with a pack of TRex frame screws and some blue thread-lock.... and that was all..... sad to say. :confused:

      There have been actual documented "sightings" with this one. (tracking reports).....though for the moment, it seems to have temporarily warped into another dimension. The other end of that worm-hole should be a USPS sorting facility somewhere in California.

      Yes, the anticipation is killing me! Electrics don't fly very well without an airframe. I can only run a "mock setup" so many times. At least I know everything works.

      Thanks, but oh no, it won't be today. It still has yet to clear Customs and then the US Postàl Service has to ship it the rest of the way to me.
