This thread is for the CGM Next Flight Simulator Updates.

Updates come often with this one.

Tonight they had put in a SAB Goblin 380.

Yes I am an Apple Mac user, but ever since getting my hands on this sim, I use it 98% of the time, the other 2% Real Flight and Aerofly get to squabble over.

I actually am starting to really like the sim after the updates.. The registration key thing is annoying ie whenever you change hardware... but other than that, it feels pretty good the visuals are nice.

Shouldn't need to, I just update parameters and the value stays.
For example I've been reducing the Dualrate Rudder value, I just type in a new value (which turns yellow) and close the menu and fly. If I close the sim and restart it the value is still what I entered.
Maybe give it another go, just change a single value for starters and see if it sticks. Plus update to the latest version sim. :)

      Hi guys

This sim looks really great to me. I downloaded a test version but couldnt fly as the Phoenix USB interface is not compatible.. What interface do you use for this sim? Does it come with the sim when bought in a shop?

      Thanks!

I've used it with the RF interlink controller, and now with my Tx (14sg) via an eBay bought usb dongle.
For example, plug and play with next (also works with HeliX):

NeXt certainly isn't my go-to sim. I only use it cause you can't get the 14sg with dongle working with Realflight.
All the rates of the helis in NeXt seem unrealistic, all helis need tuning, and I find the heli looses altitude in hurricanes more than RF or at the field.
I hear AccRC is new, feature rich and pretty, but RF7.5 is the most realistic for me.
Nonetheless I still use NeXt, and am keen for online sessions if anyone else wants a fly :)

I would now rate the heli sims like this...

Pheonix and Next - pretty similar now - I would give feel to neXt but convenience to Pheonix(great for multiplay - no version issue cause free updates)

RF - pretty good feel wise. easy to use - great transmitter - but you have to pay for new versions.

AccuRC - the most realistic feel AFTER you play around with the settings. The programming model in AccuRC is unique and mimics real world physics. BUT its very hard for ACCURC to make a model because the geometry of the helicopter has to be accurate.

Just fired up neXt last night.. yes it does feel very Phoenix like.. its not bad.. and its light... so I have put it on my slate for when I go away...

still prefer Real Flight, even tho you pay for every major update... but it feel right for me...
