Unlikely that the heli shown in this link will be finished this year, but maybe the concept prototype will be flying in 2016...

Well, I got up at 3am WA time this morning and ordered a Banshee 850.
The price wasn't listed until it went on sale this morning, and while I knew it would be expensive, I cant help but feel a little molested

Nonetheless I am pumped for this heli. Now have the task of picking remaining electronics to put into it. Still undecided on servos, but likely stay with trusty Futaba.
The TDR2 will be shipped next week, so I should have her going at the end of April. Might do a build thread to share the German perfection.

There is a couple Banshee 850's coming to Oz, and at least us Aussies will give it a flogging unlike half the Banshee 700LE's around the world being used as shelf queens :p

Stay tuned, when the time comes I'll start a dedicated thread ;)

Oh No they Didn't!! ..... If I wasn't dead-set against the direct-drive tail motor, I would have to have one of these! C__Data_Users_DefApps_AppData_INTERNETEXPLORER_Temp_Saved Images_BLH1550_b0.jpg

REALLY!!!! What an awesome bird... Oh man cant wait to see you hammer that thing. I love the banshee and the TDR. If i owned a couple of arabic banks i would have a room full of them. Re the servos, Futabas are very reliable BUT the http://mad4heli.com/collections/xpert-servo are also worth a look. I have seen madmike use these and they are great for the following reasons.... 1) Fast 2) Strong 3) incredibly accurate 4) power efficiency like no other. I have seen mad mike fly his goblin 770 at wagga wagga using a piro 850 and he gets lots of extra battery time due to electronics efficiency. @Mad4Heli. Its worth as look anyway - i was impressed.

The Xpert servos sure have incredible specs on paper, but they are still relatively new to market with not enough feedback to warrant choosing over Futaba. The fact that they had enough issues to need to recall the first batch shows teething problems, and I can't risk being a beta tester with these airframes. Due to them costing more than futaba, it is going to take a while to get more into market to get enough market testing done. I'm told there is only half a dozen sets in Oz, but the feedback from these would be biased as nearly all of them where discounted for test customers or fitted to Mikes own helis...
I still have time to research them with the Banshee not being shipped till September, but will be getting a set of 172's for the TDR2 as it ideally needs programmable servos.
Unless @Mad4Heli wants to offer a good discount for another "beta tester"......... ;) ;) ;)

Oh, and did I mention that all 50off Banshee 850's where ordered within 1 minute of going on sale, insane!
36 kits going to existing Banshee owners!
