    Hi there

There is a new update available for Phoenix 5. The flight phyisics changed! It feels realer now to me.. More pop, more crisp in the behavior of the models.

    Kind regards,

    iggy

I tested it for about two hours. Its much better now like thay added some dirt in the flight characteristics. You can feel winds much better and realer.

Went trough a setup for the 570 to make it feel close to the real thing. Great!

Its worth to check out version 5.5!

I love Phoenix. It's the only sim I use.

You can do everything you want. Models can be built as well. But its very complicated. I dont spend my time with this as there are many to choose from. And there I got my favourite two or three.

I was looking at it the other day and more than likely will have it soon since I have no sim as of now..

yeah it's really good, not cartoonish like some of the other simulators out there.

do you have to have wi-fi or the internet to use this? I was just hoping I could use it in my shop away from everyone and the distractions!

no need for the internet, but if you want to update or fly online with your friends, you will need the internet

Reason I asked about the chase view is wondering if that part of Phoenix could be used as a rudimentary substitute for my outdated MSFS software, although I wouldn't be able to go barnstorming through downtown Chicago in a Cessna 182 like I used to. Lol.

There are some FPV maps in 3D to practice. They are pretty big. You can fly far away.

if you want to FPV, and you are geared towards racing and aerial tricks... get liftoff, from steam... its the best I have come across.

Yeah just make sure you practice as much as you can. Also go online(multiplayer) and watch some of the pros fly, they are very inspirational and helpful too.

Also be sure to check the Heligods Youtube sim tutorials, they are very helpful. I'm still practicing piroflips almost kinda have it, but still kinda rusty. Simulator practice everyday. :D
