Those are BK servos, never heard of HK servos. Probably best talking to smackmeharder as he is one of the pilots here that uses BK servos.

The actual "Hobby King" brand servos are rebranded Turnigy or Tower, or one of those cheaper brands. The other brands like Hitec and such are good known name brands.
Some of these guys on here swear by those BK servos, and for good reason I'm sure. They are a bit above my price range right now.

OK... BK servos! They are a very strong servo - they are quick and they are strong. Prior to the BK servos i was using MKS ds95s These are also a great servo but not as strong as BKs for holding power (torque). Perhaps MKS ds95 are a bit more crash resistant - and speed wise i would give it to BK as well. When i put these servos on my goblin 380, the difference was phenominal. Now couple the fact that you can buy just the main gear that attaches to the servo horn for 5-7 dollars these start to become a very economical set of servos as the main servo gear is the most common gear to break. So IF you crash hard (and remember these servos are also much more crash resistant) then 5-7 bucks is normally the cost to repair.

The KST 215's are great servos for the money. I have them on one of my X3's

sure glad to hear that jbobb1 ! I sure wasn't looking forward to putting that much money in the others. But I rather go ahead and put in good servos now than cheaper made ones that I may have to replace to soon.

Yeah, I'm thinking seriously about getting a set of those KSTs next chance I get. I'm plotting a 380 stretch for the CX450, and will need better servos.

Yeah... You can get all 4 KST servos for what you would pay for 1 BK servo.

Personally, I found the iKon to be the easiest unit to set up. Initial set up with the wizard settings, my helis fly pretty good. Minimal tuning.

Also, there's a upcoming firmware update that will include a improvement to the self level feature. It'll basically be a full rescue feature!

Therein lies the drawback to using a K-Bar instead of a V-Bar....... Can't do firmware updates.

Just a reminder to remove the casing and apply some liquid electrical tape to the bottom of the wiring and case. It has tendency to short out and fail causing major damage.
