I have them in in my little 450pro they have done 20 odd hours and still going and I have replaced the main gear in servos with the bk one fit right in and work fine

I've had good luck with mine after many flights. I use breakaway horns, so I haven't had to change any gears after quite a few dirt naps!

Its really good to see you guys experimenting with the cheaper servos and getting good results. I know i bangon about good servos like BK and futaba/mks etc but what you are doing is really interesting and seems to work..

Right?? By now I could probably be a regional consultant for Turnigy as much as I've been into it with those TGY MG90S servos. :p

??? ....... BK gears fit KST?

have heard the mks can be used in kst, which increases speed, so i'm not surprised with BK.

Most servos (by size) are generally built the same. Shaft sizes, gear tooth pitch, and other variables are generally manufactured to industry standard metric sizes..... So yeah, it doesn't seem far-fetched.

what would make the speed increase by swapping out the kst gear or gears with mks if they're the same ratio?

who says they are the same ratio?

There's a tutorial online for how to do it. I just can't find it atm. But it's been done.

Mechanical physics would imply that changing one gear would usually require changing the gear that drives it due to the difference in diameter.

I don't think us mere mortals would notice the difference, if we did do the mod. May be the pro pilots might????

It would effect agility, but moving the position of the link ball on the servo arm does the same thing unless one is dead-set on not changing the geometry of the links.

Sorry for the late reply, but the kst servos do need insulating . One of our major sponsors will not sell them at all.

Aren't the kst micros a knock off/clone of mks95 identical to the kds n300 micro I use? Replaced final gear with original mks when I broke 2. Now much stronger but a third the price of mks 95

That's possible I suppose, I don't doubt that they are a clone of something. I read that @jbobb1 used a BK gear in one also.
