Guys I am stretching my E5 to a 600 size (615). I have two motors but dont really understand how to work out which one is better suited. Or how to work out how to calculate the correct ESC etc.

    Option 1 PIRO 700-52 520KV Continuous 3000w Max 5000w
    Option 2 XNOVA 4030 560KV Continuous 3400w Max 5000w

    Help...

I put an Xnova 4025 in my e5s and works well for me...... using a CC120HV

As long as you achieve your head speed with the kV it doesn't matter. If your desired HS is much lower with either motors kv then you'll have to drop a pinion size down.

A 600 size heli flown hard will be fine on a 80amp esc, if the heli is heavy and flown super super hard then a 100-120 esc is needed.

My 6hv flown as hard as I can peaks 80-100 amps. Average is 50-60aamps

Having it geared right stops it from pulling ridiculous unnecessary amps.

Is there a formula to calculate achievable head speed for a given motor KV

Mr. Mel's Headspeed Calculator but something wrong with the site. There is an app tho.
