Ok you can buy bearings http://www.bocabearings.com/ and several other high quality type bearings. Do these really have an advantage over the standard bearings supplied in RC Helicopters today? If so what can i expect by using better bearings.

There are also Ceramic Bearings as well. Are these of any use compared to normal bearings?

I can say first hand.. they do make a diff.. less slop over time.. hold up better in a crash and keep running smoother for longer.. jap bearings are the best..

Answer is yes... trend to last longer and built with tighter tolerance... I notice a difference when compared to align or msh bearings... with ceramic they last longer and are more efficient but are far more brittle and will break easier... I would not use ceramic in a heli

Do you guys oil your bearing? And how often? I put a little high performance bearing oil in mine recently hoping to make them perform better and it seemed to work for like a week then I started getting like scratchy sounds from them that I didn't hear before I oiled them. I don't know if it was the oil or if I just shouldn't of messed with them.

Depends on the bearings... most bearings are sealed, and should have enough grease to last its "lifetime" if you use oil, it will push out the other grease, and since oil has a lower viscosity it will come out of the bearings, and you will have to oil them pretty regularly...

I have the greaser and it seems to revive tired bearings

Align 600 pro dfc...basicaly you need the whole kde upgrade line to make it a decent heli..the kde hub is next the align head wobbles on main shaft due to it only has 1 jesus bolt and no clamp bolts

Not sure if I would rate kde or lynx bearings much higher than align, msh etc. Was more referring to places specialising in bearings bocca bearings or rcbearings. I got a bucket load of rcbearings in and I was pretty impressed with the quality and price.

I have been oiling my bearings with scorpion motor bearing oil about every 3-4 flights. I don`t know if it`s doing much if any good, but it certainly can`t hurt. :)

Boca bearings are the shiz..I got the kde set cause they added thrust bearings. .I cant run excessive oil due to I live in the desert

Hi @Geena , I think as @Manyc said, once you start oiling you have to keep oiling. So i think you would be fine based on that.
