So what attracts us to the sport. For me it was the mechanical aspect of the helicopter. I was amazed at how it flew and it looked so cool being suspended in mid air all by itself. One thing led to another and before you knew it i was off to the store to buy my first helicopter - which i crashed of course. So for me its the mechanical aspect. What about you.

For me it was the Adrenalin rush from flying or watching someone fly fast smak helicopters. I loved it from the first minute I saw it. I knew it was for me.

For me its the carnage. The broken carbon and the twisted metal. The pretty smashed canopies and oh... the sweet sweet smell of smouldering lipos and burning nitro fuel... You cant beat it!

For me, the best part about flying is the social aspect. The number of friends I have made, be it at a fun fly or local club field is amazing. The way RC helicopter pilots are always there for each other is priceless. Whether it`s to help get someone`s fallen helicopter back in the air by supplying a needed part. Or the simple act of walking over to a new pilot at a fun fly, who is too shy or nervous to speak to anyone...and just say hi, how are you today? I do also like the the mechanical and technical side as well, along with the fact that is pretty hard to learn to fly them. I love a challenge, and RC helicopters provide me with plenty of that. :)

For me it's the challenge. There's a lot to learn. It's not a hobby that can easily be mastered.
