Not really. There's a few trees with low hanging limbs where I test hovered. I'm hoping to get out this weekend to see how she really flies.
I've had good luck with mine after many flights. I use breakaway horns, so I haven't had to change any gears after quite a few dirt naps!

Also, there's a upcoming firmware update that will include a improvement to the self level feature. It'll basically be a full rescue feature!
Personally, I found the iKon to be the easiest unit to set up. Initial set up with the wizard settings, my helis fly pretty good. Minimal tuning.
The KST 215's are great servos for the money. I have them on one of my X3's
