I share the same frustration @Geena . I dont know what it is! Most of the ball link pliers are inadequate so i just use the ones that you are frustrated with as well. However there have been some people who like these ones... .but they are expensive but less than the JR. Oh sweet.. thanks for the reply I saw these on a couple of sites, but wasn`t sure of how they would be. From the photo, they look like the tip is tapered..which would make them stronger. I may give these a try.

 

Best pliers are the ones from FBL Rotors, very strong and will never bend or break

I went with the FBL Rotors pliers for my own use, and a revolution set to keep as a loaner set.
