Some times it is! (lol) But i think it goes deeper than that. There might be a mechanical advantage separating the aileron from the elevator!

 

For certain things... but the ability to control aileron/elevator mixing I think would be greater on mode2

 

Zero interaction between ail and elev

 

This debate all comes from silly people watching Utube and thinking that if I change modes I will fly like him . Instead of practice , practice , practice , practice , ect

Why Crazy.. mode 3 and 4 exists ! I know a person who fly's mode 3 .. So it's not an unreasonable question
