I love how at 6:18 an obvious mechanical issue is happening, so I'll just finish the tank off - n00b

Yes I think looking at it, if I were to guess - the feather shaft bolts were working loose. Being a flybar unit, only the tail would most likely be affected from the vibes. Then once the bolt worked free BOOM...

My guess too, bolt came off the end of the feathering shaft. Happened to me at spool up once, heli didn't leave the ground, but it spat the blades about 30 meters, 1 just missed my leg!. But surely if you were flying you would hit TH if you you saw your heli doing that, not pull off more 1/2 piro flips FFS. We (@Andrew R and me) have a rule, if the heli doesn't feel right or does something unexpected in the air TH and land immediately. He would have saved a rebuild if he used that rule.

its a good rule to have @simon , I have seen many pilots continue to fly when something does not look quite right, then usually tragedy occurs!

Yeah but but... am i imagining the flight issue? it or is it real? Usually i find out its real when the heli explodes... BUT it still maintain it is a good policy to have even if i am too stupid to follow it...lol
