ok.. Saturday is the build day... can not wait... @BladeBandit and @3dmick are going to be helping out to get the job done properly.. I'll update here as I go.. heres hoping for a good clean build and an awesome maiden on the Sunday....

Sorry guys completely focused on trying to get it built... we got all the mechanical and wiring done... but ran out of time for setup and maiden.. Will post pics today...

 

Here's a quick preview..

 

Ok... so here is a brief overview of the build so far.. Things were a behind scedule from the start, plus there were a few distractions as the day and night went on, that slowed us down. Plus we lost an hour due to damn daylight savings kicked in.

Initial Impressions
First looks of the box looks nice.. everything packed in nicely, as you would expect. All the bags labeled nicely, cant say the same for the Boxes.. but lets face it , its not hard to work out which box you need. All parts look well made, and solid. Everything that is partially put together, had ample lubricant already applied, but always check, never hurts... One surprise was, that this is the new Carbon Kit. Which is the Comp Kit, with some upgrades. But instead of swapping out the old with the new in the packaging... they just threw in the extra upgraded parts. So you end up with a spare Main gear, tail slider, pinion, tail pull, skids, and skid supports..

Dissappointing however, is that the Comp manual is included, so I initially put on the old skids and supports... I swapped them over, but was on guard since... Tail pulley is not a big deal, but they do not explain about the new tail slider... so that took a bit of thinking to line it up... And with these you ended up with 2 bags opened, and just grab the parts you need. A dedicated manual, or an updated insert to refer to would be nice....



Build
The build was like any other Goblin build... Goes together well, just remember to use a deliberate amount of locktite, and lubrication were required...
