Cant wait to see this motor in action. And @Crash Heligod the extra power might make us crash more but its alot more fun doing it...lol

 

Had a blast with our team pilot Miles Dunkel in Germany. He is well known to be one of the top world class speed Pilots.
So far the results are mindblowing in speed.

3D wise:
Looks like we can proofe that a monster motor will not eat your Lipos and hitting your ESC harder then a small motor,, it was actually the other way around.
In 3D ,flight time remains the same but much cooler esc and lipos was the result, and a Power which cant be explained by just 40 gramm more wheight.

Now that will be something to see...A Smak motor that runs 700 to 800 size - un-boggable yet efficient? My scorpion 4530 killed 3 brand new NanoTech Aspec 5000 mah packs. That was just before I cooked the motor. Since i put in the Xnova 4530 my xnova runs much cooler (still hot but NOTHING like scorpion) and i get a solid 3mins of hard smak time.

 

Why would you need sooooooooooo much power? I mean how fast can you fly figure 8s? lol..

 

Well if your doing knife edge figure 8s no at 4M in circumference with the collective pegged then you will start to feel the reasons why... High collective fast changing moves demand massive power. my xnova 4530 seems to do the job pretty well so far.......

 

Im all for it. More power less battery drain.

 

Its a good question about why so much power.

sure in extreme speed comp its like F1, there is never enough power.

2.
about throwing a bigger motor in a 700 or 800 size there is always the question do i need this power?
Basically no,, BUT if your ESC can stay colder your flighttime is same or better AND at last your lipos will singing because they just get little warm its a clear benefit for the pilots we belive.
Lipos are a hell of expencive specially in 12S or 14S size.
the not easy point is how can a monster motor suck less A =? but looks like thats the case with this one

 

Very true words. The LIPOS are an expensive part of the hobby. You easly get your money back on a motor thats slightly more expensive if it does not kill your lipos.....

 

So what was the top speed that miles could get out of the new motor

 

Great flying by Miles and awesome work by @xnovamotors support. And I thought there was no such motor that runs cooler and keeps the ESC and packs happy than the XTS series, I see that's going to change!

Just holding out for the dimensions and stats, diameter/length and weight...

Hopefully the release timeframe is no longer than it takes me to get all this back together.....
