Well if you buy Meister Utrinque Gartt motors, YEP ESCs plus Zippy packs you could lower costs a lot. Won't be as cheap as one of his 800, but half as expensive as if you use 2 kosmic ESCs, 2 XNOVA or Pyro motors, plus JR programmable servos.... And please add an unit with rescue function or a parachute to save the investment in case your thumbs'IQ fell below minimum values

Abdon great to see you! :)

800 heli with 780mm blades has 1750mm rotor, with 810mm blades 1810mm rotor.

      Velos 880 rotor is 1900mm.

Surface area a is 13% bigger than in 800 with 810mm blades.

It is almost twice as heavy and can have twice the power of 800.

It screams for high RPM which usually means that mechanical wear and problems ocure much faster.

Look 180A HV ESC is now at HK for $148 (YGE clone), Gartt motors able to provide constant 7kW for $50 (they heat less than Scorpion used by Dunkan).

There is still problem with lipos... For one flight Velos needs 4x6S. So for 4 flights you need 16 of them. Get big car. :)
