    velos 880 (2).jpg So what new helis are due for 2016? Anything new and exciting about to be released? 2015 saw release of a unique heli called the velos. So who can let us know about anything new on the horizon?

      A goblin 230? wow... that would be interesting. Not confirmed yet but there is talk about a goblin 230....

      Another rumor says it's in the works as we speak.
      A Goblin 230 would surely be superior to Blade's 230s (with it's direct drive tail that put me off buying one), and I'm looking forward to seeing a prototype.

      The Katana a 90 nitro
      And a Rush 570-630

      Seems like nitros are making a bit of a resurgence! I wonder if that is the fuel tank at the tail end...

      Well after waiting forever for a protos max to come in stock... I've pulled the pin and decided to wait for the 766 instead

      The one heli that I am hoping to finally be out in 2016, is Kasama's new 700 class heli, the new Faifa/Srimrok. By all initial speculation it will be another masterpiece from Mr Kasama.
      Though this is a heli that has been on the cards for years, hopefully 2016 is the year for its release. Definitely one to watch out for. ;)

      That spherical fuel tank is a good idea in one way, I suspect the shape is something to do with a uniform clunk line reach.

      There are a few things that I would like to see in any internal combustion helicopter.

      - Ease of maintenance, i.e. being able to remove the engine in minutes without having to take apart other parts of the helicopter. (Both the JR nex and Hirobo Turbulence V1 did a good job at this).

      - A little access hatch to the carburettor input, so you can squirt something like transmission oil into the engine through the carburettor.

      - Vibration dampening, it looks like the Avant Monster tried doing something about this by having a belt drive. However, an engine in any helicopter is still hard mounted, so the vibration will persist.

      That's one of the drawbacks to those small engines: they are so lightweight for the sake of power to weight ratio, that there is not enough mass about the crankcase to dampen the vibration.
