Maiden Completed
Hi All
Well as some of you know, building is not my forte, but I finally got the Evo into the air. This is the story....
I finished the build about last Thursday, soldered up my 7S packs and was ready. The forecast for the weekend looked great. I called my brother (@Andrew R) and asked if he could come out and check the headspeeds and generally check over my heli (a great tip I found on HeliGods - get another pilot to check your heli before the maiden). On being told of my intent to maiden, Andrew suggested that he qued up the chicken dance music, then he said, "hang...

Question?
Prefered Setups For 700 Class Heli's
Since I am building a 700 class heli, I was wondering what peoples preferences where when it came to electronics.. any why the preference... Keep in mind these are peoples opinions and not statements of fact.. people fly different ways, and certain components may suit their flying style more than yours. I'm avoiding FBL and RX as they are always done to death.
Seeing I'm starting the thread I'll start...
Motor: Xnova 4530-525KV - As from what I have experienced, its power on tap, and its constant... its smooth all the way, its what I imagine nitro must be like.. except for the bonker...

Well if the FAA pass this legislation i believe that the CASA may follow suit. If this law is passed then many commercial drone operators could operate with reduced costs and open the drone market for many more companies. If the rules propagate to Australia and other parts of the western world then it will be much easier to set up a drone service.
Probably one of the most interesting aspects is that the drone must operate within line of site from the operator. How do you regulate that?
here are the proposed rules...

Jr E6-550
Hi All.
Had an unfortunate incident with my Sylphide yesterday when it tipped over after an auto. Damage was limited to one blade and some ball links, but as it was a 3 blade setup, a new set of blades is going to set me back around A$255.00. Therefore, I am considering putting my JR E6-550 up for sale. This is slightly smaller than the align 550 and swings 510mm blades. It has all JR running gear and radio with adjustable horns on the servos and the TAGS 01 FBL. It also has the full speed body. I fly it with 6S 4000mA lipos and get around 6-7 mins of sport flying. Also have the bits to...
