We sometimes get very annoyed when we apply to much Y on our helicopters. But to much X is no problem.

Like the last riddle, this is very relevant to helicopters, but not isolated to them.
X cant exists without Y, but Y can exists without X. The value of X can vary infinitely even if Y remains constant. How? And what is Y?
