Hey chop, Yeah the limitations imposed by the school are a bit of a pain but like you say, will still be good.
What time will you be rolling into Melbourne?

Plan was for Thursday, I say plan cause I haven't booked flights yet, only accommodation, but now I am having second thoughts about the whole trip.

Ever stood next to a pro pilot and watched them fly? That'll be worth it in itself.
      ...
MRCHC holds an event bi-annually as most would know, but hosting an international pilot and heavily advertising it is still in its infancy. Obvisouly the more the merrier but it'll be great either way. Would be awesome to see and meet you interstate guys though.
I'd catch an early flight Friday morning. Or stick with your Thursday plan and play Friday morning by ear.
Maybe if the event grows enough the powers that be might be able to justify holding it elsewhere with some more freedom. But for this year we're grateful just to be having a major event.

Anyone else planning on camping? I'll be camping for sure Saturday night, and half a chance Friday night.

We are planning to arrive middle of Thursday. Have decided to stay nearby at a caravan park due to the restrictions. Would be nice to be able to fly somewhere.

I'd say if the weather plays nice there will be something happening somewhere.

If you have a gazebo/tables & chairs I'd bring them along, no gennie is required as we have mains power.
