Info Sad News.. Passing Of @5fidy (jason Rowe) - Funeral Info

    Dear Forum Members

    It is with great sadness I present this News.

    Jason Rowe - one of our foundation members contributors and very very good friend sadly passesed away. He was known on the forum as @5Fidy.

    I Know I speak for many people and the RC Helicopter community in general when I say Jason you will be very much missed.

    As a person I have never meet a funnier bloke, he could make a funny joke out of anything and he was also one of the first people we conferred with before making this forum and discussed all the Gods and their functions. He lived and breathed rc-helicopters and his fleet of Goblins was second to none.

    Many of you will have come to know Jason as an all round great person who never harmed anyone - he was so passionate about his helicopters. He even learn t to Piroflip just recently - a massive feat for any RC helicopter pilot.

    Jason Rowe - you will be sadly missed by all who knew you. RIP mate..


    UPDATE:

    We have just been informed by Jason family and asked to pass on that Jason Funeral will be
    on Friday the 4th July @ 12 pm at Bunurong Memorial Park
    790 Dandenong-Frankston Road
    Bangholme VIC 3175

    An invitation is open to any one that wishes to attend.

      sorry to hear about the loss of 550, never met the guy but its really sad to lose a good bloke.

      To my buddy and fellow pilot you are now truly free to spread your wings and today the flying fields of Melbourne pour tears of sadness. The days I arrived to field and to see you there, I would know that today would be filled with fun and full of laughs. Such big character and so much fun, your big voice could be heard even over the loudest heli. Always on my walk back to pits after a flight you would always have something to say that would just make my laugh so hard. Sometimes having a dig but more times telling how awesome my flight was filling me with encouragement. The flying field will filled with silence for some time and you will be loved and missed by many.

      Goodbye, buddy, you were always so positive and a great supporter of myself and people at our club. I will never forget that huge smile you always had when i saw you talk and when you were flying those goblins. RIP brother, until next time.

      I just spoke to Jason sister.. The family wish to thank everyone for there well wishes and would also like to let us know that when the time comes (Maybe late next week) we are all welcome to attend the funeral, she said she will text me the details once they know. and i will post it here for anyone that wants to attend.

      This has to be the worst news I heard all year. Going to the field won't be the same without him. I remember the 1st couple of times he visited MRCHC and how blown away he was and keen to get started. I'm going to miss getting a rev up from jas after a flight I tell you that.

      Man I cant believe it. What a legendary Heligod he was and a true gentleman in every sense.
      I only met him a few times, but he would laugh, joke and banter like he knew you forever.
      He will be truly missed.
