Here is our home field. The Avon park Aeromodelers Club. I also fly at TORCHS, (The Orlando Radio Controlled Helicopter Society) TRAC (Tampa Radio controlled Aircraft Club) and the Highlands County Aeromodelers Club. :)

How many flight lines are there? Does it get crowded? The field looks nice and open for the most part but crash would feel at home sitting in the surrounding trees no doubt...

Unfortunately I cannot get a full picture of the field as its to big from any angle except from above. This view is" part" of the pit area and in the foreground is one of the 2 helicopter and 3D areas. The main runway is big enough to land a full size plane like a Cessna. The club caters for all forms of aero-modelling including FVP and rockets. It was purchased by the members about 35 years ago and sits on 100 acres.

We have had up to 8 aircraft in the air at one time at our home field, but usually there are maybe 2-3 at a time. It does get crowded when we have a club meeting, picnic, or other club event though. We just had a club picnic on July 4th, and there were about 50 of us there.

The field is good for small to medium sized planes, and perfect for helicopters. The way the field is positioned is nice too, because the sun is never in you face. :)

Here is a few of one club that I'm a member of. They are a nice bunch of blokes who fly planks, heli's, float planes from there own jetty and also boats. @3dmick

I think I'm going to have to get a bigger boat...

Ill look into it, maybe in the warmer months. I'll see if the blokes will let us have an electric/heli/boat day! This might even kick off HELIS IN THE VALLEY which was a really good event back in the day.;)
