A fair bit more weight, with 4 batteries, 2 ESCs, and 2 motors, but the power (drool drool), I'd have to 14S at a minimum, probably better suited to 16S. There is probably 4+k of running gear without the kit, so it will be an expensive toy, and you won't be getting spares at the LHS for this baby.

Whack a set of retractable main skids on this, sharpen the leading edge of the tail fin like a razor, give it 18 degrees of collective and I'm thinking this would be a speed weapon

In fact it looks like a Siamese twin of a certain German helicopter!

This helicopter is different, very different. Your right Simon, the extra weight may have an impact on performance. I presume this could be compensated for by upping the head speed somewhat. I mean there is no problem with the amount of power being provided to the main shaft thats for sure. But in the end the power to weight ratio will determine many things. I think this could be a killer speed machine as you mentioned @simon but i don't know how it would handle as a smack machine..

I concur, probably too big, forces multiply by the dot product with size, that's why we don't see real helis smacking it up, they'd break. But hooley dooley, imagine 18 degrees of positive pitch 880 mm blades and a dangerously high head speed - that would be a sight to behold

Zeal had some 850mm blades there just for the Velos - the cord on those blades is just humongous. I can only imagine the lift they produce. This was an odd looking heli. The canopy is very round and kind of looks like a shark from the front with those crazy tall skids. I can't say I'd buy one, but I'd love to see it fly. Very original. And VERY expensive to equip!!!

Yes @Freeko the extra cord will also help with lift. So 880 blades with a huge cord high head speed and slightly lower amperage batteries. Maybe this thing could be a killer smak machine after all @simon !... Running lower current packs with all that blade... So long as you could get 3mins out of it. Could you imagine standing next to someone like tareq with a monster like that in his hands! WOW....

Just for grins... to go all out on everything... 2x Pyro 850-40 Comp, 2x Kosmik 200, 5x MKS X8 servos, one BD, 4x Pulse 5000mah 6s 65c = $5,420usd just in electronics alone. Lol!!!
