I almost forgot this one. Someone shared this photo on my facebook page, and I thought is was really cool.

 

My current 550E v1 with lowered head and other mods. Since these pictures, it now has a yellow K Bar and yellow tail fins (colour coordination of the K Bar was just an accident ):

Nice mate the 550 is the best all rounder I reckon not to big or small yet super stable
Loads of power and not to expensive to maintain and repair. Good luck with the build.
you should post up some build progress pics that would be cool.

 

Thanks, 5Fidy. Yes, I love the 550 size. I have three 550 size helis and soon to be 4 (Trex 550 x 2, Innova 550 and Gaui X5).

I've started a thread for the 550E DFC Pro, but I see now I accidently put it in the wrong forum. I'll update there as the build progresses...

It cork screwed into the ground tail first. That's why there is not much damage up front, this was of course before Team No-Crash was formed....Unlikely to happen again.

Yes mate I think the 550 is my favorite size heli to hence the "5Fidy" I have 3 myself a trex night flyer a E5
AND a gobby 570.

 

I do seem to love the size... it's weird but I am almost treating it a bit like my 450... it seems small and nimble enough with enough power to get into and out of trouble quickly.. but has the stability of a 700... or well close to it...

 

Thats impressive dude... Can you do that one again? how did the tail bend like that?

 

New MaskPro canopy just rocked up the light in my house doesn't do it juatice
